Undisclosed Foreign Assets? How to Use India’s New FAST-DS Window Legally

Forgot to disclose an overseas bank account, ESOPs, RSUs or another eligible foreign asset?
India’s FAST-DS 2026 provides eligible taxpayers with a one-time opportunity to regularise certain previously undisclosed foreign assets or income. Depending on the category, different limits and payments apply, including a ₹1 lakh fee for certain previously unreported foreign assets with explained sources.

The declaration window is open until December 31, 2026, subject to eligibility and other conditions.
If you have old foreign accounts or investments that were never reported in India, this is one deadline you shouldn’t ignore.
